I know it has been many years since Wes left this world. We were in school together in Langford. I wanted to let you know he is in our thoughts and we have so many memories of fun times and of funny things that happened. Once in awhile a special soul passes through, those are called home much to soon. Wes was one of them, he will never be forgotten.

Wes and I share a cusp birthday. He had this brainwave idea, that at midnight every year we would meet up and have beer and eat cake. I was like ya ya ya... Til our birthdays came around and he showed up at my parents house ( feeling no pain) knocking on the door... My Mom was less than impressed! Would not let him in, took his beer and told him to eat the cake because he needed it! She made me give her his phone number and she called him at 6 in the morning saying... Oh sorry did I wake you?!?... I WAS mortified, embarrassed and wanted to kill her... Wes just laughed at her...
Flash forward five more years I am home visiting my parents for my birthday weekend... At midnight there is a knock at the door... There is Wes, with beer and a piece of cake... This time he actually made it through my Mom's door! We had beer and cake, when he went to leave... He turned and handed my Mom a piece of paper.. And said... Just incase you call early... My number has changed.... Baawaahahahahaha! She was like.. I always liked that kid!! Ahhhh I miss him, he just took things in stride and was so easy going!
Wes I miss you swinging by picking me up and Layin in the field just gabbin about life, I miss doing the starsky and hutch across the hood of your car and seeing how poopy you would get at me for doing it ( I am crying/ laughing so hard right now) I miss my friend! My love goes out to the family xoxoxo

Please keep them coming as it keeps his memory alive and brings such wonderful memories of our own stories and interactions. I read an amazing story today somebody told on Facebook that made me smile and shed a tear while making me feel closer to him at the same time! Thank you

Today I was thinking about Wes as I hadn't seen him for about 5 years. I searched his name on the Internet and was shocked to hear that he had passed. Wes was a wonderful person, and I had the opportunity and privilege to have dated him many years ago. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I did not know your son, but I think he has the most beautiful eyes I can see he kind he was, I am so sorry for your loss I have a son and I can know how hard it would be to lose such a wonderful child as he must have been. I hope you find peace. Best wishes to you.

The family of Wesley Thomas Auringer would like to thank everyone that attended his "Celebration of Life" service on June 18th. Many thanks also to those that sent cards and made donations to Brain Cancer Research or to Hospice. Thank you so much to family, friends and co-workers that traveled from the mainland to attend. Condolences sent through the Times Colonist guestbook are truly appreciated and can be viewed by all.. The day was such a lovely tribute to Wesley. The support the family has received from everyone throughout Wes's illness has been just overwhelming. He will be missed beyond words. Thank you all again.

My deepest sympathies go out to Auntie Judy, Uncle Derrick, Craig, Scott and the rest of the family. I would also like to say that I am very sorry I could not be there with the rest of the family, but trust me my heart was there with you all. Wes was a great cousin, he always had a good joke or made everyone laugh somehow at family functions and everyone will miss this dearly. He was proud of everyone around him and we were proud of him.

I went to high school with Wes and someone just mentioned today what had happened - I'm so sorry. All my memories of Wes are great ones and I'm glad he seems to have made his time here happy. Also as a staff member at RJH, I'm so glad he was well taken care of.

We thought that the service was the perfect tribute to Wes, and it was so nice to hear of many fond memories and to see all of those great pictures. The number of people who attended made it evident how much, and in how many ways, he will be missed.

There are no words to let you know how sorry I am for you loss. When I think of Wes I remember Willway and Spencer School. Also the long walks down to the "bridge" at Goldstream Park. I will always remember my childhood because of my friendship Wes, Carolyn and Warren, and that is very special to me.

To the Auringer family,
It is heartwarming to see the number of entries from people we grew up with in Goldstream, even though many have not seen Wes for quite some time. I hope this brings you great comfort to know that Wes obviously touched a lot of lives permanently, not for just a brief moment in time.
He will always hold a special place in my heart. My childhood memories of time spent with Wes, Warren and Angie are very special.

I've know both Wes and his family for what seems to be my entire life. When I heard of his passing, so many memories came flooding back. Wes and I shared so many good times growing up, things I'll carry with me always. Goodbye, my friend, you will be missed.

very sad to hear of this, but i do have good memories that will stay with me in rememberance of him, the good old days of roaming the neighbourhood,. playing around in their backyard,stepping on rusty nails and hittin myself in the head with one of thier hammers, the Auringer boys were my first friends,will never forget walking down that street and seeing them all outside. After that we were always over bugging them,What a time we had in the subdivision.

I just wanted to express my heartfelt sympathy to all of Wes' family. As well as to Sandy. I've known Wes for so long it seems. (30 years.) I to, lived in the 'hood' on sooke lake road. we went to school together, we hung out together. we were friends! I loved his sense of humour. I was very shocked and saddened when I got the call from Chris that Wes had passed away. I had no idea he was sick. We had a lot of fun roaming Goldstream subdivision, packing the old red family car full of people ! Great memories :)
