I have known Bill for sometime through my Dad. But it wasn't until we worked together at the gun store that I truly got know him during the 1980s. He was a fun loving and compassionate man who helped bring stability to my chaotic life at the time. He always put things into perspective without being judgemental. I will remember him fondly.

My condolences to Ken, Starla and Lynne on the loss of your brother. I have not lost a sibling yet so I don't know how crushing it must be.
I remember Bill well from when he started the cadet corp. in Invermay and when we used
to go hunting.
I would attend the funeral if I was not going into VGH on Feb. 1st for back surgery
It would be nice to see you all again and see how we have all changed since 1980 (the year of
Sask. 75th birthday,)
if I recall correctly that is the last time I have seen any of you. I believe that Kath saw you in church
Ken and you said to say "Hello" to me. Very kind of you to remember me. The last classmate that I kept in touch with was Gerry Pickel, of course he is gone now. Once
again I am sorry for your loss.

I remember 'Major Fowler' when I was an army cadet in Vancouver back in the 80s. I believe he was an Area Cadet Officer at Pacific Region Cadets at the time and would periodically come to visit the cadet corps. I also remember him telling me I was awarded a spot on the national cadet rifle team during trials at the Heals Range in Victoria. Rest in peace Bill and thank you for the memories.
