Greg, Norman & families

Please accept our condolences about your dad. He was missed at the Legion when he moved to Merritt. My dad still talks about the day Bill approached him at the Memorial Arena (1950) & asked if he had ever thought of becoming a firefighter. He said, 'No' but shortly thereafter he joined the department and had many wonderful years there with your dad. Mom & dad used to visit whenever they could until he moved. I remember as a little girl going on a 'big' trip to Saltspring to spend the day at their cottage. He will always be remembered.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

My thoughts are with Greg and Norman as you salute your "old soldier". I have many happy memories of times spent with Jessie and Bill in years gone by. Bill will be happy that his "marching feet" no longer distress him. Geoff and I send our condolences at this time of parting. Judy Roberts
