UTTERSON, William Robert (Bill) September 30, 1950 July 10, 2006 Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, immigrating to Victoria, by boat with his mother and twin brother in 1953 to join his father. It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Bill, beloved husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather in Victoria, B.C. His true passion was fishing which he enjoyed with his buddies, Steve Taylor and Larry Goodson. After a courageous battle of 14 years with cancer, Bill will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 28 years, Judy, beloved father and mother, Adam and Dorothy, twin brother, Jim, sister, Linda, sons, Jim, Bill, and Scott, daughter, Nicole, granddaughter, Makenna, companion, Sassy (Toot), extended family and friends. Bill will always be remembered with love in all our hearts. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Fleming Beach (Esquimalt) at 1pm on Friday, July 14, 2006. I was saddened to learn of Bill's passing. The Uttersons lived next door to my family in the mid to late 1950"s on Reed St. I recall my Dad (Frank) and Bill's Dad (Adam) talking over the fence. I remember the pidgeons (named Jock and Jenny) that Bill and Jim kept in a coop in their backyard. I will always remember one Halloween as Bill and Jim were setting off their fireworks on their front steps, a stray firecracker made it's way into the large paper bag of fireworks behind them which soon erupted into a massive burst of explosions! Bill and Jim both dove through their front door where they stayed until the noise subsided. I'll never forget Bill finally opening the door to peek out and then screaming and slamming the door when a couple of late exploding crackers went off! My sincere condolences to the Utterson family.
