It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of William (Amaresh) Wilson, who died peacefully at his residence on Westwood Lake in Nanaimo, British Columbia, on August 27, 2025. Bill was born on May 13, 1950, in Parry Sound, Ontario.
Bill will be deeply missed by his son, Michael Wilson, and Michael's mother, Theresa Wilson.
A man with a deep respect for the natural world, Bill was passionately involved in land conservation and sustainable living. He found joy and purpose in yoga and meditation, where he cultivated peace, service, and connection with others. His adventurous spirit and companionship carried into his love for the growing community of pickleball.
Bill's life was one of curiosity, compassion, and presence. He will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and quiet joy he shared with others.
