William WOODS Obituary

It is with great sadness that we, the Woods family, announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather William (Bill) George Woods on December 30th 2025. Bill was the fourth generation Woods to be born in Victoria on September 15, 1942. The family came from the Orkney Islands in 1851. Bill spent most (37 years) of his working life with the JBGroup automotive parts dealers and machine shop operators led by Mr. Burke Cuppage. Mr. Cuppage was extremely kind and generous to Bill. Bill and wife, Maria, had many travels and adventures together. While children Julie, Tony and Janet were young, camping was the main adventure. Bill will be massively missed by family: daughter Julie (husband, Dale, daughter Samantha), son Tony (wife Nicole, daughters Karsen, Rielyn and Henley), daughter Janet and (Ravyn); as well as many friends and associates from work.
A great deal of gratitude goes to Dr. Jane Henderson and Tamara MacIntyre for their very kind and compassionate care of Bill. No more suffering, my love, Maria.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be determined. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Lung Association in Victoria.
