Yvonne DARBYSHIRE Obituary

DARBYSHIRE, Yvonne Lynn (nee Marko) Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on February 17, 1955. Passed away peacefully in Victoria on the morning of October 1, 2011. Yvonne is lovingly remembered by her husband Eric John Darbyshire, her children Lanore (Brett), Sean (Melanie), and Jinnice. Her mother Anita Marko, her pre-deceased father Walter Marko. Her brothers Rene (Wendy), Michael (Simone), Christopher (Sandra) and Jordan Marko. Her three grandsons Quillan, Arlen and Vaughn. As well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Yvonne was proud of her years serving as a full time minister and she taught many her hope from the Bible, but she was especially proud of her three children who joined her faith and love of her ministry. The affects of her passion will be missed by many more than can be named. Perhaps none more than by her supportive husband with whom she recently celebrated 20 wonderful years of marriage. We want to thank both the Home Care and Victoria Hospice doctors and nurses for the wonderful care of our mother and beloved wife in her battle against cancer. A memorial service will be held at the Shelbourne Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2780 Shelbourne Street, Victoria, Saturday, October 8th at 2pm. 639186

In remembrance of our dear friend and sister, Yvonne. What a tremendous example of faith and love. Her courage and strength during her illness has been an inspiration to us. She has taught us so much about how precious life is and that we should never give up. Her beautiful memorial given on October 8th was a tribute to her fine reputation as were the more than 200 who attended. May Jehovah continue to comfort you at this most painful time Eric, Lanore and Brett, Sean and Melanie, and Jinnice. Not long now and we'll all be working along side Yvonne in restoring this earth to a beautiful paradise again.

"At that time those in fear of Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion, and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening. And a book of remembrance began to be written up before him for those in fear of Jehovah and for those thinking upon his name."

We only met Yvonne once many years ago,but our friendship goes very deep with Rene, her brother. Death is an enemy, never a friend, but the wonderful hope that Yvonne had is what will in time sustain and strengthen all of her beloved family, especially her dear Mother Anita. May Jehovah continue to be with and bless your family.

My heart goes out to all of you who have lost such a beautiful and special person. Yvonne was so very unique and someone you don't forget once you've known her.
