Cassie Thomas Obituary
Cassie was a loving young lady who will be missed by so many. Her huge hugs and smiles will be remembered in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her brother Jeff, sister-in-law Amanda, Nephew Logan, Niece McKinley, Grandmother Marian Durbin, Aunts and Uncles Penny Kuhne, Stephen Durbin, Pam and Rob Druce, Mark and Denise Durbin. Cousins Sarah, Brandon & Brittany, Alyssa & Dan, Cailey & Tina, Tyler & Cassandra + Jaxson, Ian & Sarah + Myles & Evelyn, Brian & Becca.
Cassie loved her friends, music and dance. Through the support of CLT Scarborough Cassie was able to be an active Volunteer. The Toronto Zoo became a large part of Cassie's life and her family will be forever grateful to those who accepted and welcomed her into The Toronto Zoo family, especially the Monday and Thursday teams. Cassie had many great support workers who made this possible, most recently Jade and Juanita.
We wish to thank the team of Doctors and Nurses throughout the Scarborough Health Network for all your care and compassion during Cassie's illness.
Cassie you have left a very large hole in the hearts of so many. We are so lucky to have had you for your 34 years.
Unfortunately, during these restricted times, we cannot gather to celebrate Cassie's Life. If you would like to remember her, a donation to the Toronto Zoo in her memory would be much appreciated by her family.

I just heard today that Cassie passed away. We have lost touch with some of our graduates due to lockdowns and pandemic restrictions. We are so very sorry to hear this news. Cassie's Osler family extends our greatest sympathies to Cassie's family and friends. I had the great honour to be Cassie's Co-op teacher when she was a student at Osler. It was an absolute pleasure having her in our class. I will miss her beautiful smile and laugh.

I’m so sorry this is late. My condolences to all the family members. My daughter Jana was a friend of Cassie. They attended many programs together. Whenever Cassie saw us she would always come right over and talk to us. She had a beautiful welcoming smile. We would sometimes see her and some of her other friends at the Scarborough Town Center, again she would always greet us and chat for a few minutes. Jana is very sad and will miss Cassie. My prays are with you at this time. With much sorrow, Jana and Nancy.
