Mae Elliott Obituary
Mae (nee Brooks) Elliott passed away peacefully in her 102nd year on April 27, 2023 at Chartwell Trilogy LTC Home, Scarborough surrounded by loving family.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter (1989) whom she met in Muskoka when she was 14. She is survived by her children Wally (Denise) & Jean (Ed Sukman), her grandchildren Michael (Karen), Patricia (Chris), Carey (Jacqui) & James (Jackie). Great-grandchildren Katelyn, Stephen, Asha, Tyler, Geoffrey, Trevor & Blake.
Mae was born in Toronto to Alice & Frederick Brooks (Maidstone, Kent, England) June 12, 1921. She lived her own home in Scarborough for more than 80 years until her recent stroke last November.
Mae was a strong lady who valued hard work. Loved to cook & bake for family & friends. She enjoyed quilting, sewing & many other crafts. Adored all animals (especially her many pets). Treasured time spent at "Blue Haven", the log cabin she & Walter built in Innisfil, Ontario.
Remarkable the things she experienced during her lifetime - Stock Market Crash, Great Depression, WWII, amazing tech boom, pandemic.
While we know she lived a fantastic long life, she will be greatly missed by her family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service June 24th at 11:00 am at Six Line Cemetery, Innisfil. Reception to follow.
