Sinikka H. Nikula

June 13, 1954 - November 06, 2022

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our Mom, Sinikka, on November 6th at the age of 68. After a devastating diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia she fought every challenge that came her way with courage and grace. We will miss her kindness, laughter and beautiful spirit. She was an adored Äiti (Mom), Mummu (Grandma), daughter, sister, aunt and friend and was so loved by her family and friends in Finland and Canada. Left to remember her with years of wonderful memories is her mother, Leena; son and daughter-in-law, Janne-Juhani and Michelle; beloved grandsons, Lukas and Owen; sister and brother-in-law, Satu and Jussi; sister and brother-in-law, Päivi and Pasi; brother and sister-in-law, Ismo and Auli; brother and sister-in-law, Timo and Jaana; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Raimo and Anneli; sister-in-law Eila; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Eini and Pauli; along with nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and care aides at ERH and Nicola Lodge for their support and kindness. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer Society of BC for dementia research or the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. Details for a celebration of life will be shared at a later date.
