Beryl Arthur Obituary

ARTHUR, Beryl Mary March 11, 1926 - April 12, 2015 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of the beloved Matriarch of our family, Beryl Arthur. Beryl was predeceased by her late husband John in 1969 and second husband David Arthur in 2000. She is survived by her partner Wilf Crowe, her son Robert (Lynn), daughters; Lynda (Rick), Virginia; grandchildren; Jody (John), Melanie (Chad), Keith (Holly), Sarah (Shane), Adrian, Jason (Jaime), Matthew, Nicole, Lisa (Chris); great-grandchildren; Breann, Joel, Abbigail, Grace, Maddilyn, Elizabeth, Owen, Sofie, Paxton, Brody and Sterling. . Beryl was born in Leeds, England to parents Reginald and Beatrice Slight. She married John after World War II and immigrated to Canada at the age of 21. They settled in West Vancouver in 1947 and started the family business Owen Sons & Richardson Cash Registers. Beryl was very social and had many dear friends in the community. In 1969 Beryl lost her husband John. She remarried David Arthur in 1971. David and Beryl travelled extensively for the next 28 years. Beryl became a widow for the second time in 2000. In 2003 she met her current partner Wilf Crowe and was very happy until her passing. . Beryl taught us all about the strength of family and love. We all love you Mum - Nana . . . until we meet again. . Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday April 23rd at the Boal Chapel Funeral Home, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, at 2:00pm, with a reception to follow. . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation or charity of your choice. . On-line condolences may be offered at www.burquitlamfuneralhome.ca
