Britta Ahlbeck De Pieri

May 6, 1941 - January 20, 2019

It's with great sadness we announce the passing of Britta after a long, brave fight with cancer. She is predeceased by her spouse Girolamo, and survived by her three sons Robert, Dino, Roger & Juliet (Marco & Sophia), and extended family. Britta was a wonderful mother & friend to everyone, and had a deep affection for helping anyone in need. She was loved dearly, and will be deeply missed. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff who took excellent care of Britta throughout the past number of years at Kamloops Hospital, and in her final weeks at the Kamloops Hospice where she passed away peacefully in her sleep in the wee hours, a few months shy of her 78th birthday. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish (in the basement hall (Main church is under renovation), 1423 East 12th Ave. Vancouver, BC V5N 2B5. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association (http://www.kamloopshospice.com) or the BC Cancer Foundation (https://bccancerfoundation.com).
