It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Kurt Weiss, a forty-five year resident of Vancouver, BC.
He had a distinguished career as an artisan cabinetmaker and carpenter, leaving his beautiful craftsmanship in many buildings around the city, including several heritage buildings and St. Paul's Hospital.
Kurt had a great appreciation for nature, in particular, horses, and enjoyed traveling, especially long drives through the Rockies with his brother. He also loved figure skating, and walks along the streets and beaches in the West End.
He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
The family would like to thank all those who cared for him, especially Dr. Richard Madsen, who was a great support to Kurt, the 10D staff at St. Paul's Hospital, and the Bloom Group's Cottage Hospice for their kindness in his last days.
A celebration of his life will occur on Saturday, January 31. Call 604-430-6417 or email
