Lorne Glennie Obituary

GLENNIE, Lorne W. . It is with a deep sense of loss we announce the passing of Lorne Glennie on August 21st, 2015. Lorne was born in Kimberley on March 2, 1928. He is survived by brother Jim (Mabel) of Comox, BC and sister in law Hilda of Kimberley, BC; nieces Margy (Bill), Judy (Grant), Susie (Gian) and nephew Michael; numerous great nieces and nephews and friends Pamela, Ron and Clancy of Vancouver. Predeceased by brother Jack of Kimberley, BC and nephew Laurie. Lorne was employed with Lenkurt Electric for many years with a stint in Beirut. He resided in the West End of Vancouver and New Westminster for many years. Much appreciation to the staff of Youville Place and Three Links Nursing Home. At Lorne's request no funeral or memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the West End Seniors Network, 1030 Denman Street, Vancouver, BC V6G 1K7

I have personally known Lorne for over 30 years and he knew my family back in his Kimberly Days. He was a great friend and will be sorely missed.
