A sad year for endodontics - first Frank Weine, then Marshal Smulson, and now Pierre - I have been very blessed to have known and learned from them all. Pierre will be dearly missed but never forgotten. RIP

Dear Mona,
I recall fond memories and collegiality, of days spent together reviewing and preparing exams for the RCDC. Pierre was a trailblazer and followed his own path. He was mentor to many new Endodontists who were entering the profession. I will always remember your kind hospitality whenever I came to Vancouver for exam purposes. I mourn his loss and share your grief.

As a colleague Pierre was special as I learned so much from him and we did truly have fun working together. As you know "fun" had a special meaning when being with Pierre. Sandra and I will be at the celebration today and our thoughts and our hearts are with you and your family.

Mona, you may not remember me. My name is Dr. Paul Cavaghan...I am Steve and Dorothy Cavaghans son from old Chilliwack days. Pierre taught me all through dental school and was always so good to all of us general practitioners. I would see him periodically at some courses and once on a plane to Europe. He always said hello and always wanted to talk and ask how I was doing. He was one of the most repected men in our profession in North America and a loved legend in the Vancouver area. He lived a good and long life and yet he always will live on in my memory as a wonderful, kind and good man. My sincerest sympathies.
