Richard Durkin Obituary

DURKIN, Richard Lee 1953 - 2016 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Richard Lee Durkin. "Lee," born Richard Lee Durkin, March 14th, 1953 in Edmonton, Alberta passed away peacefully in his sleep in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 30th, 2016. He is survived by his brothers John, Timothy, Jamie and Mark, his sister Pamela, his nephews Chris, Ian, Sean and Troy, his niece Nicole, grandnieces and nephews and his many relatives in the UK. Lee will be sadly missed. He will also assuredly be missed by his many friends and work colleagues, particularly those from the Sylvia Hotel and Stephos in Vancouver. Lee was the quintessential "Life of the Party," a man in love with life who possessed an infectious laugh, a generous spirit and a heart as big and as beautiful as this world itself. Rest In Peace Lee, you will be remembered forever.

You sang Conway Twitty better than Conway himself. I'll miss your laugh, your smile and your heart. Rest in peace, Lee
