Robert ROBINSON Obituary

ROBINSON, Robert Gary a It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Robert Gary Robinson – our cherished father, husband, grandpa, brother and friend. Gary passed away at sea on May 8, 2015, with his loving crew by his side. He had a zest for life, a grounding presence and provided steady and sound guidance to the many people who turned to him. He is survived by many, and is loved and dearly missed. Forever at sea, forever in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 18 from 1:00 -4:00 pm at Harvest City Church (7416 Victoria Dr., Vancouver).

Some of the best ever pickled herring I ever ate was made by Gary. So sorry to hear he passed. Way too early. He will be missed. Condolences and best wishes to Bernice and the family. Regards, Karin A.

Our son Anthony Romeo had the great experience of working on the Halibut run last season with Gary. He will be greatly missed by all who new him. We have made a Donation in his name to the BCSPCA as we new he loved animals. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Robinson family.

We met Gary briefly when he responded to our ad about our missing cat, as he had seen a similar one passing through his yard. Two years later he recognized us at the supermarket and asked if we had ever found our cat. We did not know Gary, but our experience suggested this was a man with compassion and caring. We need more Garys in the world, and we are sure his family and friends recognize the loss of more than just a loved one.
