Robyn Patricia Brown

Robyn Patricia Brown passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 64. She was predeceased just weeks earlier by her beloved wife and long-time partner, Pamela Lang, who passed on December 16, 2025. She was also predeceased by her father, Pat, and brother, Mark.

Robyn leaves behind her loving mother, Barbara; her brother Stuart; her sisters-in-law Laura and Terri; her nieces Kelsey and Erin; and her nephew Owen. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many lives she touched.

Robyn began her career at the North Shore News, where she developed her love for writing and community connection.

She later worked with TV Week, continuing her work in publishing. Even after retirement, her passion for writing never faded, she authored a monthly news column for her co-op community, keeping neighbours informed and connected.

From a young age, Robyn had a deep love of travel that stayed with her throughout her life. She embraced adventure and new experiences, always curious about the world and the people in it. She loved music, camping, and faithfully attended the Vancouver Folk Music Festival each year, a tradition that brought her joy and she shared with her nieces.

Robyn was a mentor and role model to many. She was ahead of her time in countless ways. Her involvement and impact within the LGBTQ+ community reflected both her courage and her commitment to living authentically.

She had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, making everyone feel welcome and valued.

She will be remembered for her positivity, jovial spirit, and boundless creativity. Robyn's warmth, strength, and vibrant presence leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
