Kenneth Proctor Obituary

November 12, 1939 - March 12, 2018
Ken Proctor of Calgary, AB (formerly of Okotoks,AB) passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the age of 78 years. Dad was surrounded by the love of his life, Marg, and his family as he passed.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by Marg, his wife of 53 years; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and James Mutzeneek and their daughters Katelyn and Nicole; daughter and son-in-law Tracey Proctor and John Dias; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Garry and Norvelle and their family, and Ron and Pat and their family as well as numerous extended family members and many dear friends.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Rose and Duncan, and his brother Rick. He is now surrounded by his many 4-legged friends!
Family was everything to Dad. He was born in Regina where he lived until he met his sweetheart, Margaret Gibb. After marrying in 1964, they moved through 3 provinces during the first 3 years before finally settling in Calgary to raise their family.
Ken was an accountant and loved numbers. He was the controller at Arpi's Industries for the better part of 40 years in his long career. He was an extremely hard working, loyal and dedicated man in both his work life and family life. Dad loved to travel to Mexico and spent many years doing so with mom and family. He loved the sun, the sand and the sea.
It was a tremendous honor to be with Dad as he passed away peacefully. He was all about family and showed that through his life and even in death. We will miss you and always love you.
At the request of Ken and Marg, a service will not be held. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Ken's family through www.evanjstrong.com. In lieu of flowers please pick a special day and celebrate with your family and raise a glass to Ken.
We would like to thank nurses Shelby and Julia at the South Calgary Campus for their tremendous compassion, as well as Dr. P. Young and Dr. R. Stassen. We would also like to thank all staff and friends at McKenzie Town Long Term Care.

Marg, Kim, James, Katelyn, Nicole, Tracy and John,

We are so sad for your loss of a Husband, Father and a special Papa. Ken's wings were ready and it was time for him to be free from his broken body.
Katelyn and Nicole, Papa would want you to think of the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles and the laughter. Although it may seem unfair right now, it will be the memories of these little things that will help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. Papa will forever be in your heart.

Dear Marg, Kim, Tracey and families - I was saddened to learn of Ken's passing. I still remember him giving me your dad's lawn mower Marg - I think he wanted to keep it but really wanted me to start taking care of my lawn - he was so funny. He also rescued me on a freezing cold Sunday in a December back in the mid- 90's arranging on that day to have Arpis come and repair my furnace that had quit! He was a good man and I would like to offer my deepest condolences to all of you. Sincerely, Pamela Stuart
