Mr. William Don Ashley Weireter passed away unexpectedly at home on February 28, 2017 at the age of 70 years. He is predeceased by his mother and father. William known as Bill to him family and friends will be dearly missed by his loving wife Linda, his children Rhoda and Billy, and step-children: Stan, Stacey (Vanessa), Shawn (Griselda), Jody and Crystal. Also left to mourn him are his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill was born in Hollywood, CA. on April 3, 1946. At the age of 5 years he traveled to Canada by train which started his life long love of anything and everything trains. Many trips were taken by Bill and Linda just to sit by the tracks to watch the trains go by. Besides trains Bill was a avid hunter, often times coming up empty but he enjoyed his time with his fellow hunting friends. Bill retired from Atco Structures in May 2013 after twenty-seven years of employment. He was an executive member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 2010. A Funeral Service was held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, 301 Macleod Trail, High River, on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. A Reception to follow.
