Michael Henry Young

1958 - 2015

We are deeply saddened to announce the tragic and untimely passing of Michael Henry Young on February 25, 2015 in Hay River, NWT at the age of 57 years old. Michael was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He sadly leaves behind his wife Carolyn, their 3 children; Andrea (Trevor), Brandon (Deena), Matthew (Barbara) and 5 grandchildren; Trey, Madison, Emerson, Amber and Lukas. He is also survived by his mother Audrey (Darlene) Young, and his siblings Susan (Conrad), Bill (Cindy), Julie (Gary), Jenny (David), Paul, Judy and Julien. He was predeceased by his father Henry and his sister Theresa. For those who had a chance to know Michael they would find it hard to sum him up into just a few words. He was a great man. He was a jokester. He was a Mr. Fix-it. He was our rock when we needed and was just always there. He was blessed with a loving family and many friends. He will always be remembered and will never be forgotten. A Memorial Service was held Saturday March 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Hay River Roman Catholic Church with a reception following. Funeral Mass with interment of his ashes will be held at a later date in Westlock, AB.
