With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Darren Elvin Haupstein on May 29, 2023 at the age of 54 years. Darren was predeceased by his dad, Elvin Haupstein. Darren is survived by his wife Pamela Haupstein, and his children: Nivay Haupstein, Emily Haupstein, Jaylynn Haupstein and Karter Haupstein; his mom Nellie Haupstein; siblings: Deb Haupstein (Mark Johanson); Deanna (Steve) Peddle and children, Rebecca Huel (Dion) Brooke Peddle (Alex Mathews), Mackenzie Peddle (Elissa Bresciani) and Nathalie Baillargeon (Jocelyn); Heather Haupstein (Jim Yeaman); Teresa Haupstein and children Stephanie Richards (Trevor Blaine), Clayton Richards (Jocelyn), Cheyenne Richards (Anthony Reimer); Cindy (Dennis) Mainil and children Colby Mainil (Jenna), Dalton Mainil (Skye Legacy), Branden Mainil (Fallon), Dustin Mainil (Jennifer), and Tabitha Mainil (Brandon Pratt); as well as several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Darren was born February 18, 1969. He was the youngest of six children of Nellie and Elvin Haupstein. Darren met Pamela Mainil and they married in 1995. Darren loved both dairy and grain farming which he worked full time all his life. Darren and Pamela had 4 children (Nivay, Emily, Jaylynn and Karter) who worked side by side with their father on the farm. Darren was a loving husband, father and friend. No matter how busy he was, he would take the time to stop and help anyone in need. He truly lived his life doing what he loved and with the people he loved. He worked hard on the dairy with his four children by his side teaching them "his" ways of doing things and sharing his knowledge an experiences. When he did get off the farm, he also played hard with his great friends. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. Darren's family would like to thank all of their family, friends and the community for their ongoing support. A Visitation was held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SKA Celebration of Darren's Life was held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating. Luncheon followed at McKenna Hall, 317 ~ 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK. Interment was held at Griffin Cemetery, Griffin, SK.
