Marlene Marin Marlene Ida Rose Marin (nee Harrison) passed away on Sunday, August 7th, 2022 at Tatagwa View in Weyburn. Marlene was born on May 13, 1944 in Ceylon, Saskatchewan the eldest daughter of Elwin & Agnes Harrison of Hardy, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her parents Elwin and Agnes and brothers George and Brian; in-laws, Everett and Esther Marin and one brother-in-law, Brian Marin. Marlene is survived by her husband Darald and daughters Giselle (Barton) and Laura Lee (Jason); grandchildren: Justin (Justyna), Kailey, Conlin, Elsa, and Korbyn; one great-grandchild (Bradley); sister Karen (Jake) Loose, sisters-in-law: Jeanette Harrison, Sally Harrison, Linda (Gerry) Schmidtheisler, and Janice (Bill) Riecken; brother-in-law, Garnet (Gisele) Marin and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marlene grew up with her siblings on their farm near Hardy, Saskatchewan. After completing school in Ceylon, Marlene went to College and started her career with the Bank of Canada. Marlene and Darald married in October 1965. Radville has been their home ever since and where they raised two daughters; Giselle and Laura Lee. Marlene fully supported the girls interests and endeavors no matter where it took them or how many costumes she had to make or cupcakes she had to bake. Together, Marlene and Darald built a thriving agricultural business. Marlene's tireless and exceptional ability to accommodate the great swath of tasks the farm required provided the foundation for the family's success. Marlene also worked as an administrator at a local insurance office for many years. Her generous nature and gentleness of spirit brought her many friendships over the course of her life and experiences. Marlene became the rock for the families elderly members, providing whatever care they needed. Marlene lived her life cloaked in faith. The Holy Catholic Church a guiding light. She spent many years volunteering in various capacities in the church and within the community. It was with a gentle hand and unwavering commitment that Marlene spread the light and love of the Lord through every corner of the world, and to every heart she touched. In death, she fulfilled her earthly quest to enter her eternal home. Great thanks is extended to her care givers from Radville Home Care and the Bengough and Tatagwa View long term care facilities. Prayers for Marlene were held Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. from the Holy Family Parish Catholic Church, Radville, SK. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. from the Holy Family Parish Roman Catholic Church, Radville, SK with celebrant Fr. Thuy Nguyen. Honorary Pallbearers were Mae & John Pierce, Margaret & Joe Gilmore, Linda & Lyle Garrett, Sharon & Hibbard, Emile Carles and Carol & Ron Vermeulen. Active Pallbearers were all in attendance. Interment was held at Laurier Cemetery, Radville, SK. Luncheon followed at Holy Family Parish Catholic Church, Radville, SK.
