Connie Colleen Catherine WALKER

1948 - 2022

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Connie (Long) Walker. Connie passed away on August 12, 2022, at Markham Stouffville Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Jack; her children: Jason (Rosa), Jennifer, Tim (Sandra), and Tammy (Dale); as well as her 3 grandchildren: Carson and Claire Laidlaw, and Mitchell Gebhardt. Connie was born on July 16, 1948, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Dean and Betty Long, and is survived by her sister, Barbara (Richard) Grass, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Peter and Faye Walker. Connie was predeceased in death by her siblings, Dean and Mickey; half-siblings, John, Bruce, and Victoria (Cunningham); stepmom, Eunice Long; and parents, Dean and Betty Long. She will be missed dearly by her family, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The Celebration of Life will take place at St. Patrick's Parish, 5633 Highway #7, Markham, Ontario on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. The Service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend at www.dixongarland.com. Interment will take place at Christ the King Cemetery, followed by a reception at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street N., Markham, Ontario for a time of food and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
