David Ross "Swoop" JOHNSTON

We are sad to announce that Dave passed away on May 14, 2022, at Markham Stouffville Hospital. He fought hard. We will miss you so much big guy! Dave was born to Evelyn and Bill Johnston and was raised in Agincourt. Following school, Dave enjoyed a very successful, lengthy career at IBM. He leaves behind the love of his life, Judy, wife of 45 years. Their lives were blessed with son, Lee (Ashley) and daughter, Brooke (Drew) whom Dave was most proud of. In recent years, he was thrilled to welcome and be Papa to five beautiful grandchildren: Olivia, Brayden, Leo, Reese, and Carter who sparked his life and brought him so much joy. Dave will be remembered for his love of family, time with friends, his rose garden, his passion for cars, love of sports, weekly golf games, fishing trips, cottage weekends and brews with buddies. Dave is survived by and will be forever remembered by his loving family and many friends. Friends are welcome to drop in anytime between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 459, 150 Mostar St., Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A 0Y2
