Keith EVANS Obituary

EVANS, Keith H. It is with great sadness the family announces Keith's passing on January 22, 2019, at the age of 86. Keith was born in London, Ontario to Gladys and Harrison Evans in 1932. He attended many schools in London, the last one being London South Collegiate. The family moved to Orillia in 1948 where he attended O.D.C.V.I. The family then moved to Toronto where he attended Earl Haig C.I. and Bathurst Heights C.I. In 1956, Keith graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honors BA in Political Science and Economics. After over 25 years working with Canadian Acceptance Corp'n, Toronto, Keith returned to Orillia 1982 to become the Credit and Collections Manager for Otaco. Keith and Dianne were married in 1984 by Dr. Rev. Eric Beggs in the Orillia Presbyterian Church (St. Andrew's) and moved into their newly built home on Victoria Point, spending many happy years on Shannon Bay, Lake Simcoe. Keith was the founding Chairman of the Alliance for the Preservation of English in Canada, Simcoe North as well as a founding member of the Reform Party of Canada, Simcoe North. He enjoyed the political arena and was the Past President of the York North Federal P.C. Association and Past Chairman York Mills Provincial P.C. and the Orillia Associates of Al McLean, Garfield Dunlop, Bruce Stanton, et al. Keith leaves his son David Evans, stepdaughter Juanita Hart and her husband Brian Wilson, stepson Douglas Hart, step-grandson Nathaniel Hart and step- granddaughter Brianna Hart. The Bond he will miss most is Dianne. Following cremation, visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home on Friday, January 25th from 12 noon until time of service in the chapel at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lung Association or the Orillia Presbyterian Church (St. Andrew's) Pastoral Care would be gratefully appreciated.
