I am deeply saddened to learn of Tommy Todd´s passing. Please accept my condolences. Tom was a fixture at Firehall 123 when I arrived there as a new captain. He was our most senior firefighter, a veteran´s veteran. He was always capable and professional during any emergency situation we were facing. At the hall he was a willing contributor, setting the example for the younger crew members. Off the job, I remember his kindness and generosity like when he took the whole crew to Blue Jays games on several occasions. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Thomas.

At times like this it is hard to find all the words that best convey our sympathies and many warm thoughts of Tom. I've known Tom since high school days and he was a good friend. Thinking of his family and friends warmly now and share this loss with you.

Affectionately known as Tommy to his many loyal brothers and sisters in the TFD, he would always come to work with a good attitude in spite of any of life´s challenges that we can all be exposed to. I was privileged to know him and delighted to work with him . I had looked forward to the many shifts we put in at station 123 . Tommy could find a bit of humour in just about any situation, usually making it less of a daunting task than it needed to be. Tommy was a very strong character and kept a lot of things close to himself . I can say that I have known very few people as honest and humble as Tommy. He was truly loved by his crew mates at station 123 .

My deepest heartfelt condolences to all of Tommy´s family. Tommy one of the hardest working Firefighters I ever had the pleasure to work with, first guy in last guy out! I will miss that big smile and his great sense of humour, oh and can´t forget the famous all you can eat pork roast suppers for under 3 bucks! Safe journey Tommy you will be remembered and missed!
