Ann was a leader and a lady who made a difference. I know her in Naples, FL, and served on the Board of the Holocaust Museum with her. She was innovative in establishing the Center for Judaic, Holocaust and Human Rights Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University. She was supportive of our Interfaith Women's Study Group. It was a privilege to know her. With sincere sympathy, Ilene Leff

I just heard the news, and am terribly saddened. Ann was always so vibrant and full of life, for some reason it seemed she would live forever... I'm struggling to write anything very profound, but I'd just like to say: It was a great honor and a delight to work with Ann (while I was at FGCU and its Holocaust/Judaic center, which would not have existed without Ann's vision). She was just a special person, maintaining a wonderful attitude toward life & the world, and dedicating herself, with such amazing energy, to so many worthwhile causes. And she possessed a sly, somewhat mischievous sense of humor that I'll remember her for. You'll always be an inspiration, Ann!

I did not know your loved one but am in awe of her resolution to maintain Jewish history and legacy. Obviously, Mrs. Jacobson was an icon and testament to Judaic heritage. What an incredible lady! My sympathy to your family.

Ann Reisner Jacobson lived her Jewish faith in exemplary fashion. She cherished her family, befriended people from all walks of life and created change for the better wherever she went. What an honor to have known her for 51 years. Her memory will continue to inspire.

What a great lady and an interesting story. I presume Ann also travelled to speak with the Palestinian people about how to be free of fear and oppression. Love is indeed the answer, no? Rest in peace, Ann.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
