"Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home is a continuation of a long-time Callahan County funeral service tradition started around the turn of the 20th century as Schwartz Furniture and Undertaking Company. Roger "Skip" and Pat Parker assumed ownership in 1979. In August, 2019, the Parkers retired after 42 years of service to the Baird community, passing ownership of the business to Clay and Danni Jacobs. The goal of Parker Funeral Home has always been to provide families with professional, dignified, and affordable funerals. Keeping the funeral home independently owned and operated has enabled the Parkers to provide personal service, a tradition that will continue with Parker-Jacobs."
