Apolonio Samson Delorito, 89, born on March 8, 1932, in Philippines, went home to be with the Lord Jesus, on December 31, 2021. He resided in Cerritos, CA at the time of his passing.
Apolonio, lovingly known as "Tatay" by family and "Onyong" by friends was known for being a man of few words, having a quiet and gentle spirit. He had a strong work ethic that completing 3rd grade in the Philippines did not stop him from working hard to provide for his family. He went back to school in his first few years in the United States so he could converse in English. He was hard working and it was evident through the last few days of his life. Tatay Onyong loved to garden, fish and spending time with family. He was a loving husband who patiently took care of his wife till her last breath and a dedicated, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be extremely missed.
He is survived by his five children and their spouses, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was loved by his family including the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Many meaningful memories will be cherished through all generations. He had the assurance of eternal life - knowing Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the time of his passing. John 11:25-26 Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die."
Psalm 145:13 13 "Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does"
