Apolonio Esparza Reyes, 75, born on April 3, 1945, in Durango, Mexico, passed away February 12, 2021. He resided in Los Angeles, CA at the time of his passing. He was the oldest son of Apolonio Esparza Garcia and Angelina Reyes Rojas. He came to the United States to live the "American Dream." He was an adventurer, who didn't mind taking risks when the opportunity to reach his dreams was there. Him, along with his wife, worked together to provide for their children. It was a difficult struggle but amazing what they accomplished with no college education and on their own merit. He was a family man who loved to spoil his children in so many ways. He loved spending time with them; by taking them to the park, the beach, the movies, a restaurant, to the malls, or to downtown. He liked buying the latest toy/video game, and/or the popular CD/movie of that time, and/or buying an item that he knew his children would like. At home he enjoyed family time by watching movies, boxing fights, and by listening to music. A quick drive with his family, even around the block, made his day. Eating in family and with guests was very important to him even if they had to wait for those who were yet to arrive. He enjoyed going fishing with his wife and children and to stay at the pier until the next day. He truly loved his family being united and always together. He was a kind and noble man who would help others without asking for anything in return. He knew that at times he would not be appreciated. However, his good intentions and good heart was what counted for him and he never held a grudge towards nobody. He was never envious of others to the contrary he would be happy of the accomplishments and prosperity of everyone. He encouraged those who asked for his advice to keep on going to reach their dreams. He enjoyed an outdoor scenery since he loved the wonders and mysteries of nature. He liked animals a lot, especially dogs and birds, and his passion was music. During his spare time he would write songs/poems and he would make the beat to his lyrics. He had his own distinctive phrases that he was well known for and which his loved ones will never forget. He was a great host. He enjoyed the company of guests and family with great and interesting conversations, music and lots of laughter. He had a great sense of humor although when he needed to step his foot down he would do it, he did not like playing games, he was serious and he would keep his word. His lessons were for the good of his children, to keep them on the right track and to instill the moral and values that would prepare them for the future. His family is appreciative of everything of him, they learned a lot from him and his life experiences. They are proud of all of his accomplishments and they will carry on his name and blood with proudness. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and sons-in-laws and daughter in-law...He will always be loved and remembered as a great man, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and father-in-law who had a big heart. He will always be their hero, musician and poet. He was Unique.
