Arthur Eric Estrada

October 10, 1978 — November 9, 2022

Arthur Eric Estrada, 44, born on October 10, 1978, in Montebello, CA, United States, passed away November 9, 2022. He resided in San Bernardino, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.

Arthur was known as "Artie" by his close relatives and affectionately called "Boxer" by his lifelong friends, as his strength and resilience were attributes that set him apart. Artie's loved ones include his mother, Leah Merjil; his older sister, Danielle Sperandeo; his younger brother, Tommy Estrada; and his two daughters: Angela Estrada (26) and Arlene Estrada (16).

Artie was a family man who liked to surround himself with peace and serenity. He avoided large crowds and complicated technology, much preferring the simplicity of being playful with his daughters. He did not take himself too seriously and knew how to be in the moment with things and people. He had a unique brand of humor and loved to play gentle pranks on the people that were closest to him. As a son, he found great joy in sharing Thanksgiving holidays with his mother. He brought a smile to her face with flowers for the table, while complimenting her turkey dinner which was his all time favorite.
He also found enjoyment in tending to plants and flowers, and he had a fondness for animals. He would often adopt stray dogs or cats that easily gravitated to his compassion.

Artie was a particularly loving and loyal uncle and brother. He always had his brother Tommy's back and would often surprise him with a spontaneous dinner or a special treat. When his nephew, Hassan, was fighting cancer at a young age, Artie spent long hours entertaining and trying to cheer him up.

Artie gleaned much happiness in spending time with his girlfriend, Bobbi Jo. They shared a mutual admiration and respect, while making lifelong memories together.

Near the end of his life, Artie proudly qualified to be a certified in-home caregiver to his good friend Scott.
He had been looking forward to this role and we know he would have been the best caregiver possible.

Artie is now in our savior's loving arms, reunited with his many loved ones in Heaven.

Here on earth, Artie will be forever loved and missed as a father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and boyfriend.
