Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Brian Eddy Boshears, age 50 of Oneida passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.He was a member of the Winfield Baptist Church.Born in Oneida, Tennessee on July 14, 1962, he was the son of Paul Boshears and the late Pasty Jane Hatfield Boshears.Brian began his law enforcement career with the Tennessee Highway Patrol twenty-five years ago in Rutherford County and was transferred to Scott County in 1989. In 2003 Brian graduated from Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command and was promoted to Sergeant of Troop C of the Knoxville division of the Tennessee Highway Patrol in 2011 and has held many roles with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, including a stint with THP's Critical Incident Response Team (C.I.R.T.) and the Highway Patrol's Chaplins Program and Stress Debriefing Team. He was also an Advanced Traffic Reconstructionist and Radar Instructor. In addition to his mother he is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Bedford and Gertie Hatfield, Ed and Nora Boshears.Brian is survived by his wife Jessica Jeffers Boshears; father, Paul Boshears; two daughters, Makenzie and Kennedy Boshears; three sons, Tanner Boshears, Jordan and Logan Chambers; in laws, Marilyn and Rick King, Keith Jeffers and the late Phylis Jeffers; sisters-in-law, Rhyan King and husband Duff, Morgan Shepard and husband Travis, Julie Arbaugh and husband Dave; brother-in-law, Michael Ross and wife Christy; many other relatives and friends. Brian also leaves all of his beloved Tennessee Highway Patrol family.Friends may visit with the Boshears' family Thursday April 25, 2013 from 4 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life service at 8 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. David Smith and Colonel Tracy Trott officiating.Graveside service will be conducted Friday April 26, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Carson Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers the family ask that donation be made to the Methodist Medical Center Foundation c/o of Hospitality Houses, P.O.
