So sorry for your loss

Dear Cathy and Carl’s family, our family would like to express our deepest sympathy in the passing of Carl. Our son and Carl developed a wonderful bond and we enjoyed talking with him and sharing all of our family stories. I was so grateful that I was ble to see him a few weeks ago. John and I had a wonderful visit with him. He has become like family to us. Cathy thank you for always keeping in touch with John and keeping him updated. So sorry With Love, Ellen Ward

Carl's Obituary

North Reading, Massachusetts

Carl J. Bertolino, age 73, of North Reading, died November 24, 2020 at the Veterans Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts.

Born January 27, 1947 in Boston, MA, son of William and Geraldine (Marciante) Bertolino, he resided in Stoughton, MA for years and lived in North Reading since 1996.

A United States Army Veteran, he served during the Vietnam War and was recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

He was retired from Raytheon.

Carl was an avid motorcycle rider and outdoorsman.  He was a proud member of AA, a mentor for others.

Survived by his son William C. and wife Melissa Bertolino, 3 grandchildren:  William, Anna and Amanda, his sister Catherine and husband Domenic DeFlumeri, also several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his daughter Lynn.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 1pm at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH with Rev. Samuel Hollo, officiating, a calling hour is prior to the service from 12Noon-1pm.  Interment will follow, with military honors by the United States Army at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton, NH.  If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to your local VA organization or your local AA group.  To express condolences, please visit: www.peasleefuneralhome.com
