Carlos's Obituaries

Home going celebration for SSgt Carlos Jovar Clarke, U.S.A.F. Veteran will be held on Saturday February 11:00 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida with Rev. W. S. Sims, Officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral Home. Interment will be held on Monday February 24, 2020 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

SSgt. Carlos Jovar Clarke affectionately called, “Jovee” was born on February 21, 1983 in St.Petersburg, Florida. Carlos was a Veteran of the United States Air Force for 15 years having earned over 15 medaarlos earnls, awards and ribbons and he proudly served in Korea as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom. For all of his life, he enjoyed and excelled in mechanics, wood work and building or re-building anything he could get his hands on. Carlos also enjoyed cooking,joking, talking about politics and spending time with family and friends. Carlos loved God and is now in the Heavenly place he believed in. 

SSgt. Carlos Jovar “Jovee” Clarke age 36, departed this earth and gained his wings on February 8th, 2020 at his home in Wichita, Kansas. 

SSgt. Clarke was predeceased by his parents, Carl Clarke and Phyllis A. Webb, whom he loved dearly. 

Carlos is survived by the love of his life, Karlene Robinson Clarke; 2 brothers, Jamie Clarke and Dante Hicks; 3 sisters, Shakira Webb, Tamara Greelish (David Greelish) and Lena Johnson (Sylvester Johnson, III).He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, his beloved dog, Zaylee and other relatives and amazing friends.

His remains will repose on Friday February 21, 2020 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home. Friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at approximately 10:45 a.m. Saturday for the service.
