Not sure what to say?

I was fortunate to know Catherine while she lived in Corvallis. We attended church together at Corvallis Mennonite Fellowship. I loved sitting next to her and listening to her beautiful singing voice. I will also miss her twinkling eyes and her compassion.

I had the pleasure of serving with Catherine on the Board of Directors of Corvallis Uzhhorod Sister Cities Association. She was a dedicated board member who made substantial contributions to the board's work. She was extremely bright, but what stands out the most for me about Catherine was her compassion. She will be missed!

I'm so glad that I got to work with Dr. Mumaw during part of her time at Oregon State University. I will miss keeping in touch with her and hearing about her family.

It was my privilege, as president of the Virginia Association of Family and Consumer Sciences several years ago, to present Catherine with her 50-year member certificate of AAFCS. In meeting her, I knew our love of the field of "home economics" gave us a special bond. She will be missed.
