Gary, Wayne, Karen,

Sorry to read of your dads passing. He was a great guy with a great sense of humor. I loved his kind/funny way with little ones. Gary, I'll always remember you & I "singing" along to his guitar playing that night at the J-7 years back. Fun times with a wonderful person.
Our sincere condolences to the Tenney family.

Helen & family:

So sad to read this today in the Eagle. I am so sorry for your loss.

With a very heavy heart today ...

Dear Karen, Wayne, Gary and Helen,
I was very saddened to read of Mr. Tenney's passing. As a child growing up in Stockbridge, I remember him well. He was always nice to us kids, always had a smile and a kind word. He was a lovely and gracious man. I read his very impressive book, "Keep Old Glory Waving High" and was quite moved by it. I am sorry for your loss. May your many happy memories sustain you, and know that he touched many lives in a positive way.

Wayne and Lisa. Sorry for your loss! Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Steve and Sue Hillebrand

A good man, a good friend and a great storyteller. We'll miss you...

I very much enjoyed visiting Chigger every couple of weeks. He remembered a great deal of local history; people, places, facts, and I learned so much of the past from him. He seemed to love sharing it with others, and I was always amazed at his sharp memory even into his 90's. He was a wealth of information. We talked of many things and I'd often ask him if any wildlife had gone past his window that week. And of course writing the book was the greatest honor for me. I miss him already. ...
