Christie Marie Maier

July 16, 1973 — October 19, 2019

Christie Marie Maier, age 46, of Long Beach, California, passed away on Saturday, October 19th at UCI Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Mechelle Maier and mother of daughters Grace and Isabella Maier.

Christie was born in Downey, California on July 16th, 1973 and was the daughter of Charles Maier and the late Toni Fox. Besides her wife and daughters, Christie leaves behind her siblings Charles, Garrett, Erin, Carmen, Katie, David and Dana. She also leaves behind her Goddaughter Gabriella Cruz, her live-in nephew Griffith Mendoza, and several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She broke glass ceilings rising to the top of the corporate ladder as a Senior Vice President of Operations , generously mentoring countless employees along the way. Her greatest professional accomplishment was her legacy, Grace Industries LLC. Through Grace Industries, Christie landed a large contract that had a significant role in the construction of the new Ram's Stadium.

Christie was beyond an amazing person; she was extraordinary. When presented with a challenge, she would not only conquer it, but also excel in the process. She would, and did, do anything for her family. She was a jack-of-all-trades with countless self-taught skills. She could build a car from scratch then tell you all about the 4C's of diamonds. She loved to travel, cycle and spend time with her family. Her determination and smile live on in all of those fortunate enough to be touched by her spirit.

Funeral Services will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial in Cypress on Friday, November 8th at 2:30pm in the Patriot's Chapel with a reception to follow.
