Not sure what to say?

Mr. Thaxton was a great guy and educator. I remember him well at Jacksonville High School. He always had a positive attitude and a could make your day a little brighter. He will be missed.

I am very sorry for the family loss. Mr. Thaxton was a very special friend to me as I entered high school. He helped me stay focused and in school at critical times. I will always be thankful for his help. His office was always an open door for whatever the issue might be. God Bless.

Connie, Steve and Family,
Sorry hear of your Dad's passing. He truly touched so many lives. He made a difference for so many, our Family included as he was such a caring, giving person who was always sincere in the many lives he touched. Out of all 7 Brothers and sisters of our family I knew we all connected and was blessed to have known him and the many great things he did. God Bless You All

To Mr. Thaxton's family.... he was truly a friend to everyone and he cared deeply about every student that roamed the halls of JHS. I remember he always had quarters to hand out for a soda from the soda machine located down in the dark recesses of JHS. My sympathies to your family. I will remember him fondly.

Tracy Strowmatt Ashbaugh (JHS '79)

Cliff was almost the first person we met when we moved to Jacksonville in 1982 and rented our house on Permac Road from him. He was always so kind to us, and our three boys got a great start in Connie's kindergarten class at Eisenhower School. Our sincere sympathy to all the family.

Connie, Steve and family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. So glad I was able to visit with him while he was in TCU and will cherish our conversation. He has touched so many people over the years and will be remembered for his kindness and guideness he provided. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We will miss him coming to Kirlins for his candy! He was a really nice person

A great person & educator!! I grew up during the 60's & will always remember Cliff as a P.E Teacher & later as a Counselor!! I was in 6th grade P.E class the day President Kennedy was assassinated & he announced it to us!! He has always been an important part of my schooling!! R.I.P my friend Cliff!!

Mr. Thaxton was my 6th grade teacher at the new South Jacksonville School. He challenged me to learn at every turn. When I became ill, he came to my home to make sure I continued with my lessons. He cared about every student and served as a role model for many.
