Cyndi was preceded in death by her parents Isadore Kurland and Louise Tagg Kurland and her sister Suzanne K. Steinmetz. She is survived by her brother-in-law Tom Pickett & Marguerite, and her 2 nephews and niece and their families: George, Janet, Sam & Katie, Charlie, Michael & Molly, Rebecca, Gregg & Melissa, Matt & Nicole (baby Landon), Jarrett, Chris & Amber (baby Audrey), Alison. Singrid & Mike, Brian & Samantha, Sean.
Cyndi graduated from Pennsville Memorial HS in 1963. She went on to Glassboro State College and graduated with English Literature, Social Studies and Second Education degree in 1967. After completing her Masters degree she worked as a Social worker in Salem County for the Welfare Board. Cyndi was always working more than one job and this started early in her life. She was writing articles for the local papers while holding down a job. She is published in multiple papers; Sunbeam, Garnett News, University Delaware Magazine, The Sampler, to name a few.
She worked in radio both in DE and PA from 1973-1981. She did everything from directing, editing to selling advertising.
In 1984 she graduated from Philadelphia College of Art after studying Photography for three years. After graduation she was hired by the University of Delaware where she worked for 7 years getting stories placed in the local and national media. She was also the primary writer for the U.S. figure skating team
She performed in the Community Theatre in NJ, DE, PA and the Comedy Club in LA. Two USC grad films, The Missing and Family Business (she played the lead). Shortly after moving to California in 1993 she worked as a Page for several studios and got to work as a Production Assistant on several movies... A dream come true.
Whether she was in NJ, DE, PA or CA, Cyndi spent many years working in sales, Amway, Macy's, Casablanca, Brenner Foods, Muzak. The last 17 years she worked part time at World Market as a Sales associate.
As we came into the 20 teens Cyndi found a new passion. She wanted to help people through hypnosis. She graduated with Honors from HMI 2016 with a degree in Hypnotherapy.
