Dorthia Walker

Dorothia Walker was born in the Bronx, New York on September 26, 1966, to the union of Dorothy Garrett and John Montgomery.
Her mother moved to Los Angeles in the early 1970's where Dorothia attended Fremont Hight School. She was 1984's Valedictorian and Class President. Later, she attended college at UC Berkley.
Dorothia and her husband Larkin Walker met in 1991, and they had three sons from this union. Leading a godly life, she attended First AME Church. She made it her mission to spread God's love with everyone she encountered. Dorothia worked for Camino Real Kitchens for 24 years and three years for Johnson Controls Fire Protection and Majestic Fire. During her spare time, she enjoyed going to the gym and working out with her friends. Exercising nearly every day brought much joy to her life. Dorothia also enjoyed her vacations to other states and countries. Above all though, she enjoyed spending time with family. During her favorite holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, she enjoyed hosting parties and putting together large meals for the ones she loved. Her Friday Fish Fries were a staple amongst family and friends. You know she loved her seafood and gumbo as much as those 200 pairs of shoes. She spent Sunday afternoons at the Retirement Homes playing Bingo and comforting lonely.
On Sunday May 16, 2021 the lord opened the doors to heaven and welcomed his daughter Dorothia home.
She leaves behind her husband Larkin Walker, three sons: Cory, Jair, and Larkin. Also leaving behind are her mother Dorothy Garrett, her sister Robin Garrett, her nephew Ryan Hewitt, many cousins, friends, and coworkers.
