Ephraim Cabreros Agaton

Ephraim "Sonny" Cabreros Agaton, 77, of Orange, CA, formerly of Yorba Linda, CA, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. Sonny was born May 2, 1942, in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, to the late Leon Fermin and Gregoria Cabreros Agaton. In 1962, he earned his bachelor's degree in Commerce at Far Eastern University in Manila. He was an accountant for more than 40 years. Before emigrating to Southern California in 1972, he worked at Colgate Palmolive Philippines. In California, he worked in the aerospace industry- first at Rockwell International throughout the 70s, 80s, ad 90s, and then finally retired from Boeing in 2007. He met the love of his life, the late Cora Ancheta Agaton in North Hollywood. They married on April 14, 1973 in Las Vegas, NV, followed by a Catholic church wedding on June 30, 1973 in Los Feliz, Los Angeles. Together they were proud parents of daughters Kathleen and Kimberly. Sonny was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He was known for his kindness and cheer, love of music, and passion for the L.A. Lakers. Nothing thrilled him more than a blackjack hand. He adored his dog Charlie. He is survived by his children- Kathleen Agaton-Cappiello (Carmine Cappiello) of Brooklyn, NY, Kimberly Agaton (Scott Wells) of Laguna Niguel, CA, and four grandchildren whom he loved and adored- Luca and Katia Cappiello, and Theodore and Calvin Wells. He is also survived by his brother Dr. Gideon Agaton and family. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings Caridad, Leon Jr., and Reuben.

Services will be at 9 am on Saturday, March, 21, 2020 at Forest Lawn, Covina, CA, in the Memory Chapel. (21300 Via Verde St., Covina, CA 91724).
