Felix D. Urra

On Monday, August 13, 2018, Félix D. Urra Garcia, loving husband and father, passed away at age 82.

Felix was born on March 25, 1936 in Havana, Cuba to Felix Urra Sr. and Pura Garcia Pimienta. He served in the anti communist Cuban Army prior to exile in the United States. In 1959, he was recruited, and enlisted for Brigada Asalto Brigade #2506 counter-revolution paramilitary special operations group launched from Guatemala and Nicaragua. He was 2nd in command of battalion 6, #2636, Compañía Jefatura Bay of Pigs Veteran, and POW, liberated December, 1962.

On September 19, 1970, he married Nancy Caridad Bello. Together they raised daughters, Iris and Maria.

Felix enjoyed being a business owner prior to his retirement, enjoyed road trips with family often, and was known for his kind and compassionate spirit.

He resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of his passing.

Felix was preceded in death by his father, Felix Sr., his mother, Pura, and his brother, Israel. He is survived by his wife Nancy, their children, Iris and Maria, his grandchildren, Melissa, Melanie, William, Delaney, Jared, Dante, Donovan, Draven, and Darien, his nephew, Christopher, and niece, Michelle.
