Flora Saginian

Perhaps she was born with her adventurous nature. After all, she landed on Ellis Island, New York solo in 1954 via a cruise ship from La Havre, France just ready to experience life. Born in Armenia, June 3 1926. She would go on to meet her partner on a blind date, Varoujan Saginian and marrying him in 1959 in Fresno, California. She graduated from Hollywood High School and went on to receive an accreditation in accounting from LACC. She loved to learn throughout her lifetime reading voraciously taking additional courses in nutrition, health and psychology. She also loved to exercise, practice daily meditation and preach nutrition to others. Is it any wonder that she lived to be 93, looking impeccable and living independently at home even in her final days with us.

She was preceded in death by her brother and sister (Vladmir Martikian and Frida Kankanian), her husband of 41 years Varoujan Saginian. She is survived by her two daughters Lisa Saginian and Debbie Hovsepian, son-in-law Varoujan Hovsepian and two grandchildren Blake and Erica Hovsepian..

Though petite in stature, her spirit and endless energy were immense. We will remember her as a loving spouse, a guiding parent and grandparent, and a loyal, dear friend. We will never forget her joy of adventure, her never-ending optimism, integrity and her ability to laugh. And it was her spiritual faith that was her ever-guiding light. We will always cherish the wonderful memories of this amazing, inspirational woman who was 'Forever Young'.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 on Thursday, November 7, at the "Little Church of Flowers", Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, CA.
