Not sure what to say?

Lina and Family;
Galen was one of the most sincere, pleasant and concerned persons I have ever known. He was genuinely interested in what was going on in each persons lives and took time to ask when visiting you. He always remembered details of a person and their family members. We have lost a person who in his own time was a wonderfully rare individual.

Lina;
My brother just wrote me about Galen. I remember you both from our times in Lamar. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you in the days, weeks and months ahead. Marguerite Cole Moore

Lina and Dena,
I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Gilbert was a kind and generous man and I learned a great deal about life and fairness in my years working for him. I want you to know your family remains in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Galen R. Gilbert. He was two years ahead of me in school but we played many baseball games together. He was such a kind easy going individual. He always encouraged his fellow players by his soft spoken manner. He was a great friend and I am sorry that I have lost contact with him over the years. Our thoughts and memories about you will last for ever.

Dr Gilbert was my eye doctor from the time I started wearing glass in the 6th grade. I haven't found a decent eye doctor since. I send my deepest condolences to his family.

Lina, I am so sorry to hear about Galen's passing! Hugs and prayers to you and your family. Love always, Amy Montgomery

Dena-I was so saddened to hear the news about your dad's passing. I know he was an amazing dad to you and clearly an amazing person to all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom and your entire family.

Dear Lina, Dena, Jeff and Audrey,
I'm so thankful that Galen was born and that I was touched by his love and light. I would like to say that I was never unkind, never selfish, never needed a kick in the pants, but that would not be true. Galen knew all of these things about me and believed in me, in spite of them. I loved him for this, but of all the gifts he gave to me and the world, Dena was by far and away the very best one.
Not very long ago, with a slight smile...

Lina Galen was such an inspiration to me always helping out others I will never forget the wonderful times making salsa and burritos for his fellow workers at the bank and our visits at your house Thank you for sharing with Sis and Eleanor and I the lunches and all the laughter of the past family memories couldn't ask for a better pair to have comfort and friendship in my life time. My prayers for you Dena Jeff and Audrey. Love you.Inez and Rod.
