Not sure what to say?

Devoted son, loving husband and father....He enjoyed many fishing trips with his Dad and his brothers....

So sorry to hear the news of Garys passing. A kind person and knowledgeable arborist, I will miss working with him at Chestnut Hills. Heartfelt condolences to the Gatlin family. Donna Ryan- Board Member-Landscape

What a heartbreak to learn of Gary's passing. He was one of the nicest people we knew. His charming smile and easy manner complimented his ability to solve problems in dealing with people. Arbor Day was special to him as he visited schools and help instill his love of trees and nature to the children. I can't recall ever seeing him without his smile. We were so grateful for all his help with the Veteran's Memorial during the past years. May God grant his family peace and blessings during...

I will always think of Gary as the Burr Ridge edition of Tree City USA. He did love his trees and loved to share his knowledge of them. Gary, yes, I still do talk to trees every so often. I know they will miss you, as all your friends and family do,and I wish I was still in Nurr Ridge to console them.

Gary certainly left us all too soon. But the important thing to remember is that its not how long but how well you have lived. His love for his family and passion for his work confirm that his time on earth was well spent. He will be missed.

While there's nothing I could say that could take away this pain, reading these memories and looking at these pictures of Mr. Gatlin makes me smile. He touched so many lives (and the earth!) in so many beautiful ways; it's heartbreaking that he's no longer with us, but we are all richer because he was. Thank you, Mr. Gatlin, for being the greatest dad that my best friend could ever hope for--your love and the memories you share are the most special gift, and they will keep giving forever....

Always a smile, always supportive. Thank you for always being you.

I had the privilege of working with Gary at Burr Ridge, where he was the Village Arborist. I much admired his devotion to his work and his passion for sharing his knowledge with others. His sense of humor was always welcome and timely and made it an enjoyable place to work. Wishing peace for Gary's family and memories of a life well lived.
