I had the pleasure of working with Helen at Walmart. She was a great associate and a better person.

To my bestie, Helen.
Rest In Peace, my beautiful friend of 22 years. I will miss seeing your beautiful face working at Walmart on Saturday and Sunday. I will treasure your friendship forever. Good bye my dearest friend god blessed you ♥♥♥

I worked with Helen for nearly 20 years. She was such a nice lady, and I will miss her. Sorry for your loss.

I worked at walamrt with you Helen. You were not just a coworker you were a friend, role model, someone who made me laugh. You were our Walmart grandma. I will miss you so so much.. I remember all the stories you told me about working at Walmart. Watch over us all. We all miss u and love u. Xoxo

Lots of wonderful memories of Helen working with her for the 22 years starting at the old store..... the best memories there were when her , C, Belen and I stayed behind and closed the old store.....we had such a ball ... s s ....then more memories as we moved up into our new store .... I am going to miss Helen immensely . I'm going to miss seeing her as I walk by softlines... it Will not be the same without her over there working S .... fly high Helen, God's G s ♥♥♥

Helen always has a smile on her face. She was always willing to help out where needed. She was a wonderful lady. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Helen's Obituary

Helen E. McPeters, 80, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Franciscan Health in Crown Point.

She was born December 8, 1938, in Hammond, to the late Raymond and Zelma (Wells) Schau.

On April 16, 1958, she married Edward W. McPeters Sr. He passed away on February 13, 1990.

Helen worked as a Associate for Walmart for over 20 years.

She enjoyed crocheting and flower gardening.

Surviving are sons, Edward McPeters, Jr. of Brook, David McPeters of Delphi, Chris (Christine) McPeters of Earl Park, Wayne (Connie) McPeters of Linden, Johnny (Lisa) McPeters of Wheatfield and a daughter, Julie (Ron) Trusty of Monticello. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Schau and a grandchild, Harley.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 13th at Soller- Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2019 also at Soller- Baker Funeral Home. Pastor Joseph Park Jr will be officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday at Memorial Gardens of Rensselaer in Rensselaer.
