Not sure what to say?

Mr. Baker was my chorus teacher from 1957 to 1963. He would play piano (just chords) and sing "Freight Train Blues" and others. It was fun adding ad-libs of Doo-Wah from the back row. He was always able to detect where it came from. I enjoyed playing piano, but was usually more needed singing base. Everett Kelley, class of '63

Mr. Baker was my music teacher at Rosette. I alawys enjoyed when he played the ukele and taught us old folk songs.

Kris and family,

wanted to express my deepest sympathies. I remember many a 4H fun fair practice in your garage?? plus 4H meetings, and generally growing up in Dekalb.

send our deepest condolences

My deepest condolences to your family. Mr. Baker was a wonderful music teacher and made learning music fun. He gave me my first music lessons at Lincoln School. He will be truly missed. Heaven has gained a great singer and musician!

Mr. Baker was my music teacher at Clinton Rosette. (North Junior High) He was a patient and kind teacher who leaves behind a wonderful legacy.

I am very sorry for your loss... I had Mr. Baker for both chorus and geometry at DHS. I'm sure he is remembered fondly by all who were privileged to be taught or mentored by him.
May God keep you all in His care as you mourn...

Working with Jim on the CAPE team at Clinton-Rosette brings back so many precious memories. We loved to rib him and fondly called him "Buddy." The music within him made me smile. May you, his family, be comforted in the stories you share. With deepest sympathy, Nancy Todnem

My sympathy is with the whole family. I would visit with him while spending many days with my Mother at Oak Crest. He was such a nice man and we shared memories of DHS. May he rest in peace.

Kris, Melynda, and family,
I remember what a wonderful time we all had singing in the DHS choir and Madrigals directed by our special music teacher, Mr. Baker, your wonderful father! Those will always be such special memories for me!!! May God comfort you in your loss!
