James Edward Sefton, 79, born on July 29, 1939, in San Francisco , California, passed away October 4, 2018. Dr Sefton graduated from UCLA with a PhD at age 25. He was a US History Professor at California State University Northridge for over 50 years. He made history come alive and always challenged his students. He considered his 11,000 former students his kids and considers many family. He enjoyed photography, including gallery showings of his photos and intercollegiate sports especially men's volleyball at CSUN. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in "Doc" Sefton's memory.
