I was so sorry to see where J.D. passed away. I still remember and smile about all the softball games we attended together back when we were young!! Praying for you, Diane, and the family!!

I met JD in 2011 when I started my career at DFIM. JD & I started working Turn Ins of excess IT Equipment in 2016. I have grown to love that grumpy old man. I will cherish our friendship. I feel like I know each of you for we have had many conversations that there were comments about each of you. He loved and cherished his family. You were his heart & world no doubt. My prayers , thoughts & heart are with ea. of you. My God's grace and love give you comfort & peace.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

J.D. and I would always end up watching action flicks at extended family gatherings. He was not shy to share his opinion but was easy to talk to. He spoke often to my Mother (Margarett Hinson) and I'm sure is doing so again. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his wife and boys.


J.D.'s Obituary

John David Cooper, age 74, of Hooks, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at a local hospital. He was born on January 30, 1947, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to James David and Helen Irene Cooper.

Mr. Cooper was an employee of Red River Army Depot and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Barbara Scott and Margaret Henson; and one brother, James Cooper.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of forty-two years, Diane Cooper of Hooks, Texas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Caleb and Dawn Cooper of Hooks, Texas, Cory and Tia Cooper of Hooks, Texas, Chad and Elizabeth Cooper of Little Rock, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Jacob Cooper, Brady Cooper, Gabriel Cooper, Jasper Cooper, Carter Cooper, Grayson Cooper, Colin Cooper; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday September 30, 2021 at First United Methodist Church-Hooks, 121 Roosevelt Rd Hooks, TX.
